(Concord, NH) Hundreds gathered at Beech Hill Farm and Ice Cream Barn in Hopkinton, NH, October 12, 2019, for New Hampshire Federal Credit Union’s Annual Fall Festival. This event has become a staple of Beech Hill Farm on Columbus Day weekend.
More than eleven years ago, New Hampshire Federal Credit Union began hosting its Annual Fall Festival at Beech Hill Farm to celebrate its youngest members and their families. Today, the event has morphed into a grand community gathering and family tradition.
On top of free ice cream, corn mazes, and face painting, the Beech Hill School also set up a table for kids to learn about their school, all while The Morris Family Band sang, fiddled, kicked up their heels with some Irish dance, and played music for children and adults who sang along to many tunes. The familiar cider press brought in by Gary Janinda was on hand, and he and his family served all those who needed a thirst quencher after all the ice cream, popcorn, and fun and games.
Four members of the Hopkinton Fire Department were on-site to entertain the children, talk fire safety and to do “Ladder Truck Tours.” Animal Planet’s “North Woods Law” regular, Maria Colby, Wings of the Dawn Wildlife Rehabber interacted with children and adults with fur and tracking kits donated by NH Fish & Game for the event.
While NH Federal Credit Union’s Fall Festival is free, the Credit Union does accept contributions for Make-A-Wish® New Hampshire, including donations in exchange for apple cider, and a raffle for a Thanksgiving Basket. (Complete with a 20 lb. turkey). This year, NHFCU raised more than $600 for Make-A-Wish at the event.
NH Federal Credit Union, established in 1941 with assets of more than $277 million, is located in Concord and Lee, NH. For more information about them, visit www.nhfcu.org.
