Tina Cabana, Vice President, Lending, Celebrates 30 Years with NHFCU

This article pertains to the celebration of Tina Cabana being with NHFCU for 30 years.

(Concord, NH)  Tina Cabana, Vice President, Lending, recently celebrated a career milestone with NH Federal Credit Union (NHFCU) – her 30th Anniversary.  Tina joined NHFCU in 1989 as a part-time teller and transitioned to full-time in 1991.  In a short time, Tina began to move up within the organization, joining the collections department at the end of 1991 where she remained for three years.

In 1994, Tina became a loan officer, focusing on consumer loans like cars, trucks, campers, personal loans and the like. But, by the early 2000s, Tina expanded her knowledge as she began work as a mortgage processor, helping NHFCU members with their most important investments.

After more than 12 years of learning about lending, in 2003, Tina became NHFCU’s Lending Manager, where she led her team for 8 years. Tina’s wide-ranging experience in all aspects of lending and collections led to her promotion to Vice President, Lending, in 2012, where she now oversees collections, consumer lending, mortgage lending, and loan processing for NHFCU.

Learning and understanding collections were the perfect introduction to a successful career in lending. When Tina began with NHFCU, the Credit Union held $31 million in loans to members.

Today, NHFCU’s loans to members exceed $120 million.  Balances have quadrupled, yet, loan delinquency is lower than ever.

In reminiscing with Tina about her career with NHFCU, she notes one of the most rewarding aspects has been her relationships with NHFCU members and their families, as she witnesses the credit union legacy move through different generations.
